Cambodian Children Against Starvation and Violence "CCASVA" is a non-partisan, non-religious, local non-governmental organization with no profit. This organization was established in early 1996 by group of Cambodian student’s volunteers and was officially registered and recognized from the Ministry of Interior of Kingdom of Cambodia in September 23rd 1996 (Permit No-889) and CCASVA was registered and recognized by Ministry of Interior as organization on 10th June 2015 (Permit 1031 ).
Program Background
The 3-years project of Improving Community Based Child Protection Mechanism with financial support from ChildFund Cambodia which will be implemented from November 2015-June 2018 for Kratie Province.
The aim of this project is to facilitate children and adults to realise their rights, and to be increasingly protected from abuse. New protection networks will be established, and existing ones strengthened, with clear focus on the prevention of violence against children and women. Protection Networks consist of children, their families and local authorities, with representatives at the village, commune and district, province and national levels. These will be linked by a coaching, monitoring and evaluation reporting and intervention mechanism to provide legal and social assistance to victims of child abuse and their families.
